It's the in the moment adventure that make all dead related stuff work so well for me. Now that it is just one of thousands of recordings I can pull and listen to, I can't say it will be something I'm looking for five years from now or even five weeks. In the grand scheme of things, I can think of many shows that were better than last nights Dead and co but one thing I'm fairly certain of, there wasn't anything happening last night that would have been better. Today we have people that hate Dead and Co. Back in the days of Further, a lot of heads hated the band because they had some head trash about John K being a mimic. He said the band brings it to the stage every night and anytime he had a bad show it was because of what he brought into the evening and not what was happening on stage. In one of them Bill Walton said something that has stuck with me to this day. In one of the exhibition buildings they did panels and gave interviews. I went to the Further fest at that frog jumping fairground in California back in the days of Further. I will say having had the experience of watching live and listening back to the recording today, it's a lot easier to pick it apart the next day. Click to expand.Shakedown and Wharf Rat was the low point of the evening but I don't share your opinion of the show and I think the last three night have been the best three night of the tour.
